Welcome to Forest Hills!
Forest Hills is a premier community in West Michigan, including nearly all of Ada Township and much of Cascade Township. Along with East Grand Rapids, Forest Hills is considered one of the best suburbs of Grand Rapids. Forest Hills includes most of the area served by the Forest Hills Public School District, which consistently ranks as one of the best public school districts in the state of Michigan.
Ada Township, named after the daughter of the area’s first postmaster, has a population of around 14,000, and is home to corporate giants Alticor, Quixtar and Amway. Amway is closely involved in an almost complete redevelopment of downtown Ada, taking place in the near future. The intention of this planned redesign is to take full advantage of Ada’s natural assets, create a focal point for community gatherings, improve walkability, and provide a healthy mix of residential and commercial uses.
House hunters will find plenty of opportunities and reasons to settle down in the Forest Hills area. Rolling hills, miles of waterways and hundreds of acres of public park land are spread throughout Ada Township. There is truly something for everyone to do. If you are the outdoors type, Forest Hills has endless opportunities for exploration in all four seasons.
Forest Hills’ public and private schools are among the highest rated in the United State. Ada offers new residents assistance in getting acquainted with everything that the area has to offer. Everything in downtown Ada is within walking or biking distance and there are plenty of community events for the entire family, including art fairs, outdoor and indoor concerts, and the famous, award-winning Ada Farmers Market.
History is rich and vibrant in Forest Hills and is preserved in the unique buildings and historic Ada Covered Bridge. Each year Pioneer Days is celebrated to keep history alive for current generations. If you are looking for a rural, small town and historical feel to call home and to raise your family then Forest Hills is the place for you..
Forest Hills is a prime real estate market, but has opportunities that match many different budgets. Single family homes, condominiums, waterfront properties, or private country retreats abound in Forest Hills and are available to move into now.
If you are in the market for a new home in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood, or if you prefer the privacy of some acreage, then Forest Hills is the area you are looking for.
